Example requirements

50%
  • Reach operator level: complete in this example
  • Make one useful deployment: pending in this example

Presentation only. No rank is awarded.

Paying never promotes you.

Training, advisory, and implementation buy support. Rank requires demonstrated capability and evidence, at every level.

Real outcomes change the standard.

The proposed officer progression begins with an externally used launch. Every officer promotion requires human review.

Proof can remain private.

The proposed evidence policy allows private review. Public financial statements and exact revenue are not a membership requirement.

From first capability to enduring impact.

Academy roadmap · planned, not live

Twenty milestones. One ascent. Training starts the climb. Real launches, verified growth, and leadership change how promotion works.

Phase 01 · E-1—E-9

Enlisted

Learn the tools, build across all three fields, and prove you can help the people beside you.

  • Finish lessons
  • Build real work
  • Help other builders

How it unlocks · System unlock

Finish the required lesson and mission. After every requirement is verified, the system issues the next rank. Paying never promotes you.
  1. E-1Private
  2. E-2Private First Class
  3. E-3Lance Corporal
  4. E-4Corporal
  5. E-5Sergeant
  6. E-6Staff Sergeant
  7. E-7Gunnery Sergeant
  8. E-8First Sergeant
  9. E-9Sergeant Major

Lessons may unlock on their own. Finished work and help for other builders still need proof. Paying for access never gives you a rank.

Commission gate · E-9 → O-1

A real launch changes the standard.

A real launch—not a course, a purchase, or a demo—can make you eligible for Second Lieutenant. A human will review the launch. This process is not live yet.

Phase 02 · O-1—O-10

Officer

Launch useful work. Grow it. Then help other builders do the same.

  • Real users
  • Real revenue
  • Lead builders

How it unlocks · Submission + review

Submit a real launch and its proof.A human reviews every officer promotion. Revenue creates eligibility; it never awards rank by itself.

Commissioned command

Launch the work, reach real users, earn revenue, and build a system that lasts.

  1. O-1Second Lieutenant
  2. O-2First Lieutenant
  3. O-3Captain
  4. O-4Major
  5. O-5Lieutenant Colonel
  6. O-6Colonel

Command gate · O-6 → O-7

Scale the system. Lead builders.

Verified growth and leadership make you eligible. Human review decides the promotion.

General command

Grow the work and keep helping other builders win.

  1. O-7Brigadier General
  2. O-8Major General
  3. O-9Lieutenant General
  4. O-10General

Every officer rank needs proof and a human review. A revenue goal lets you ask for a review. It does not give you a rank on its own.

Phase 03 · honorary

Enduring impact

The capstone recognizes exceptional work that expands what the entire builder community can do.

How it unlocks · Honorary panel

Become eligible, then pass a unanimous panel. The five-star capstone is discretionary, fictional, and never automatic—even after the proposed threshold.
  1. HonoraryFive-Star General

Honorary AI Army rank · no military grade

Reaching the proposed revenue threshold only creates eligibility. A conflict-checked panel must unanimously recognize exceptional, responsible, and enduring ecosystem impact.

Independent systemAI Army is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or part of the United States Marine Corps or the United States Armed Forces. AI Army ranks are learning and community milestones, not military ranks, academic degrees, professional licenses, or guarantees of income or employment.

Five-star disclosureFive-Star General has no Marine Corps reference grade. It is a fictional, honorary AI Army capstone; revenue creates eligibility for panel review, not an automatic award.

Read the proposed promotion standards

Promotions are sequential. Each milestone adds requirements to those already earned. Revenue thresholds are a proposal to validate before launch; they are not an earnings promise. Reaching the honorary threshold creates eligibility for unanimous panel review.

Understand the tools well enough to direct them deliberately.

    • Finish one foundation. Complete the foundation curriculum and knowledge check in the selected primary track.
  3. E-3

    Lance Corporal

Turn a guided lesson into a working artifact.

    • Build the first working artifact. Submit one artifact that runs or renders as described and includes a short note explaining what was built and what remains imperfect.

    First Sergeant

Raise the standard by helping other builders ship.

    • Help three builders improve. Complete three substantive, constructive reviews of other learners’ work; recipients and a reviewer must confirm the contribution.
